To enrich learning, teachers occasionally plan trips and visits outside the school. Permission for short local trips is given at enrolment, but a signed permission note is required for travel beyond the valley. Parent support is essential to meet Health & Safety requirements, and some parents may be asked to attend each trip, with advance notice provided.
School Payments:
Money for school events should be sent in a sealed envelope with your child’s name and the amount clearly written on the outside, and handed to the classroom teacher.
Swimming:
Swimming is part of the school curriculum and only children with a medical condition will be excused from swimming. A letter of explanation will be required in these cases. All classes receive free instruction at the local Wainuiomata Pools.
